The Steps You Need To Take To Reach Your Personal Goals
It may feel like you do not have personal goals but you do. You are just not aware of them. There are some simple steps you may take to clearly understand your goals. It does not matter what your goals are. Your goal might be to learn how to break 80 in your golf game or maybe to learn to play the piano. Whatever the goal is, you must be able to see it clearly in your mind first. The first step is bringing awareness to your goals.
You should approach this as you would any personal training program. The best way to see your personal goals clearly is to simply write them down. Find a spot that is quiet and where you will not be disturb. It may help to close your eyes and to relax. Some people find prayer to be helpful in making them be receptive to their inner voice. The important thing though is to have a quiet place where no one will interrupt you.
Sit in your special place, close your eyes, visualize what it would be like to have achieved your goal. Pretend you are watching a movie with you as the star. Watch the movie of you doing what it is that you want to do. Then write down what you see, taking note of the way it feels to be accomplishing your goal.
Next think about the incremental steps you must take to reach that point. What is it that you must do to be that person you visualize. Write down and number each step. When you are done you will have a road map of where you want to be. You will have list of what you must do.
When you are done creating your list of goals and your to do list, think of simple rewards that you can give yourself as you accomplish each step. Buy yourself a piece of rhodium plated jewelery or buy yourself a steak diner. Treat yourself well for you deserve it.
You will encounter set backs as you work your plan. Do not let the set backs deter you. They are inevitable. In fact, you may want to plan them. Sometimes specific set backs can even be predicted. Keep working your plan.
Your dreams are waiting for you. Do not fear them. Find your quiet place and watch your own movie. Make your personal to do list and accomplish each step of your plan. Your goals are awaiting you.
